No Offence, but You're Kinda a Wiener

I just realized that I’m regularly reading 120+ webcomics. I decided to celebrate this by drawing my favorite character from every single one of them. …This may take a while.

So, the first one to go is Id from Inner Space (official website here: innerspace.notonigon.com/ ). I really love this little kitty-parrot-griffin-thing, which is funny, since at first I was scared that she’s going to be yet another annoying, cutesy-wootsy child character (Id is supposed to be five years old, or at least to appear to be so). Yes, the little lady is childish… but in an awesome way! She’s always positive, curious, and bold. Too bold perhaps, as recklessness many times gets her and Mag (the main character) into trouble… Which by no way means that Id is stupid! Quite the contrary, she can be quite cunning little rascal. She just not always shows much concern about the consequences of her actions and is not afraid to take risks. And let the writer be blessed for this, since this recklessness and happy-go-lucky attitude of a child is perfect balance for Mag, who, as an insecure and depressed young adult, is plagued with countless fears and doubts. I’ll even go as far as to say that if it wasn’t for Id, our main protagonist probably would just lie down and die, since it is the little one who usually tricks Mag into… err, I mean, motivates Mag to conquer her fears and overcome obstacles. What’s more, Id’s witty/cheeky responses to Mag’s whining are priceless.

I highly recommend Inner Space for anyone who likes tales about battling inner demons (ha, you see what I did there?) and coming to terms with disadvantages one was born with and traumatic events. However, if you like stories that take place in strange (yet creative) worlds with dream-like, bizarre logic to them, you’ll love this one too! Oh, there also is some creepy imagery (you know, creepy but in a good way, the way which makes you scream “AWESOME!” and want more) so it will make a nice Halloween read too. And if you are one of those people who don’t read webcomics because they are scared that the authors will stop updating them in the middle of the plot, I have good news for you. Inner Space is 321 pages-long, complete, 100% finished story. SO GO READ IT NOW!
