Hello, dearest dudes and dudettes!
I nearly got a stroke today. xD
You see, for the last five (or was it six?) years I have been working on a novel called “Daleka droga”. During the last summer I gave up on it (which is a shame, since I was only five chapters from finishing it).
However, since now I’m determined to stop freaking out over stuff not being perfect, I decided to give “Daleka droga” one more shot. Oh, the decision that nearly got me killed.
I was so happy when I found the file with the manuscript! I joyfully began to read it… only to find out – to mine greatest terror, no less – that ten cheaters were missing! Woe was me! So many months of work lost so foolishly!
I frantically searched through my tree pendrives until I was able to find a more recent version of the novel. Unfortunately, it still was one chapter short, which caused me a lot of sorrow (also anger and frustration).
Luckily, in the end I managed to find a truly complete file. Turns out that all this time it was on my mum’s portable drive (what it was doing there, I don’t know). Now all of my babies 249 pages of the text are save and ready to be edited and/or re-written. (You know what? They are actually a lot better than I remember.)
And that’s how my sanity was saved.
Oh, and in case that you want to know how the work on The Survivors is going, I’ve been doodling different robot body-shapes and now I am ready to finalize Ducky’s design. Wendy and Henry still need some work, though.
Toodles,
Maera Fey
