I also know the ginga series and well.. your style now is already better than the ginga style (don´t hate me ginga fans, I love ginga too but seriously...those snouts are so flipping lazy-looking.) so yes go for it.
You know, I think I may do Warriors comics. I need do draw something that won't make me freak out over the quality of my drawings and Warriors always calm me down. Additionally, this would be a great opportunity to practice my backgrounds drawing skills... Could I, perhaps, test out on you a brief plot synopsis?
Sorry it took so long, as soon as I tried to write the plot down, I realized it's not a proper plot, just a bunch of semi-interesting characters and other loosely connected cool ideas. I tried to put them together and make something coherent.
So the story starts with a single kit and their mother in the nursery. The kit is excited about becoming an apprentice soon because that means that they’ll be able to interact with other young cats and make friends. Also, we learn that for some reason nor the kit, nor their mother ever leave the nursery. The only cats visiting them are the clan's ancient medicine cat, Honeyheart, and her apprentice. Honeyheart is very kind to both the mother and the kit, but her apprentice acts weird and says some suspicious things.
We finally learn what's up when it's the time for the kit's apprentice ceremony. It turns out that their mother wasn't a clan member at all but a kittypet who was in secret relationship with the clan's leader, Daystar. As soon as she found out that she's pregnant, she and Daystar decided that the mother will come to live with the clan, since they both really badly wanted for their kits to grow up in the clan.
Daystar was meant to first get the clan ready for her appearance and then come and pick the pregnant she-cat up but he never showed up. The mother got impatient and went llooking for the clan on her own. As soon as she found it, it turned out that the wild cats had no idea who she was and Daystar had vanished. Most of warriors believed him either to be dead or traitor who left his own clan and is now leading a clan of bloodthirsty rouges. One of the few clanmembers who refuses to believe this is Darkshade, Daystar’s deputy and very best friend. He also refuses to journey to Moonstone as he believes that Daystar is still the true leader.
The rest of the clan wanted to chase out the female kittypet but Darkshade allowed her kits to stay and grow up as Warriors on the condition that she herself will leave as soon as her children are apprentices and don’t need her anymore.
So, basically, the rest of the story is about the kit living on their own in a clan that hates their guts and trying to figure out the mystery of their father’s disappearance.
What do you think? Does that sound like a comic material?
Prawie się zdziwiłem, że to wersja kobieca Davida Luxa XD
Anyway, yeah if manga would appear in Poland I wouldn't mind taking a peek, that series is popular only in few places but still, anyway yeah I understand, sadly original ideas are hard to make a breakthrough as most people are used to follow something they know at least a bit
